The Implementer is "practical, reliable, efficient, turns ideas into actions and organizes work that needs to be done" but "inflexible and slow to respond to new possibilities." The Teamworker is "co-operative, perceptive, and diplomatic listens and averts friction" but is "indecisive in crunch situations and avoids confrontations. The reports from the test were still hand compiled by Belbin at this point. My two lowest categories (bottom 10th percentile) were Implementer and Teamworker. As for identifying team strengths, Belbin's team roles is still very much a. The Plant is "creative, imaginative, free-thinking, generates ideas and solves difficult problems", but "ignores incidentals and is too pre-occupied to communicate effectively." The Monitor Evaluator is "sober, strategic, and discerning sees all options and judges accurately" but "lacks drive and ability to inspire others, and can be overly critical." I (an ENTP) scored in the 90th percentile for both the Plant role and the Monitor Evaluator role. The way the Belbin results work, is there are 9 different "roles" that people conform to with different degrees of emphasis. While the Belbin test produces individualized results but is focused on team-oriented tasks, I'd be really interested to see if MBTI results correlate at all to Belbin results. For those of you who haven't taken it, you can find the website through a quick Google search (unfortunately it does cost money).
